More Light Investigations
We continued to work on our optical engineering unit today. We used mirrors and a flashlight to investigate how we can reflect light at different angles, with different amounts of intensity. The kids discovered that they could use multiple mirrors to direct the path of light.

Thinking like an engineer!
We have been reviewing what we know about light. To prepare for an upcoming optical engineering challenge, we are investigating how light interacts with different materials. Each group recorded their observations about whether the light was reflected, absorbed or transmitted by the material. Tomorrow we will discuss our observations and how optical engineers would use their understanding of materials when planning or creating their designs.
