Prairie Island Field Trip
It was a gorgeous day in Winona. We spent most of the day outside at Prairie Island. Part of our field trip was centered on White-Tailed Deer at the Deer Park. There was an observation activity, a QR scavenger hunt and a color photo hunt. The students were so engaged in their surroundings. It filled my heart with joy to see this kids enjoying nature. The WSU Outdoor Education Recreation Center was also there. Our kids rotated through a low ropes course, disc golf and an activity called mine field. The students did a wonderful job communicating with their classmates and working as a team. We had a great time!

Junior Achievement Games
Yesterday we played a game. Each person started with $200. The three people in your group would roll the dice and the person with the highest number would go first. The first person would roll the dice. If they got a three they would move three, then you would do what the space said.

Pentominoes
We did something called Pentominoes. Its where you have to fit all the pieces on a sheet of paper. Its really hard. Its like Tetris or Blokus. No one got it. We are supposed to bring it home sometime and let the parents try it. Its super fun and hard. Whoever got it might have gotten a prize but no one got a prize. Isabell almost got it. She was one square off. One of the pieces must have been covered.

Great Egg Drop Testing Day
We tested our egg vessel designs today, to see if they would protect our eggs from breaking. Our eggs got dropped over the balcony in the gym. It was a long fall. One egg did survive the plummet and a couple other eggs just had small cracks. The kids are already asking how they can improve their designs which has led to some good discussions. We will improve our designs next week.

Egg Drop
Today we worked on our egg projects. We will soon drop them off of the balcony in the gym and see if our eggs will survive. We worked really hard on our projects. They're all really good projects. They are trying to make something to keep the from cracking. The egg has to stay in the bag at all times. We are limited on materials,so it wont be easy.
